The Crisis 2 Resilience webinars and workshops are projects of Us Partners, Personal and Collective Evolution. They are based on the fact that leadership that works in the crisis stage would be a disaster in creating resilience based on self-reliance. The workshops, webinars and handbook are designed to give participants an experiential understanding of the most powerful leadership and crisis management capabilities through the evolution of four stages. Truly powerful leadership begins with recognizing the state of the people and the situation. Responding appropriately to the psychological, social characteristics of people and their logistical needs is essential for success. Participants learn the most effective leadership strategies and equally important, how to avoid ineffective strategies. The wrong approach can catalyze unintended consequences causing a secondary crisis. This knowledge is a vital to understand the power dynamics of leading and crisis management.

Thank You to Global Facilitators Service Corps
Us Partners is grateful to GFSC for the inspiration and basic four-stage model for crisis. The roots of the GFSC workshop and materials for crisis management are wide and deep: In 1986, as a result of his work with the survivors of the earthquake and subsequent mudslide that buried thousands of residents, their homes and community in Armero, Colombia, Dr. Gilbert Brenson-Lazan, a founding member and past president of Global Facilitator Service Corps, and Dr. María Mercedes Sarmiento Díaz (1947-2003), clinical psychologist, educator and facilitator, developed practical, effective methods for psychosocial reconstruction after natural and societal disasters. That began a 20+ year journey to many parts of the world, refining the model and materials as well as training facilitators in disaster intervention processes that met their cultural and community needs.
GFSC has conducted workshops and mentoring in Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South America for community leaders, local governments (Emergency Preparedness Departments), professional facilitators, social workers, educators, first responders and agency personnel responsible in times of emergency. Other related materials are available on the GFSC website, http://globalfacilitators.org. Additional training, consulting and mentoring for specific communities and situations is also available. Please contact GFSC at info@globalfacilitators.org.
We are proud to be a part of this dedicated line of professional facilitators interested in crisis management, sharing methods and materials to help communities become more resilient and self-reliant, responsive to their needs and the desire to improve the quality of life in their communities, enhancing their ability to respond to stresses and trauma.
